Autumn

Autumn is one of my favourite seasons of the year. I love the beautiful colours on the trees; the reds, purples, oranges, yellows and browns. It has been such a cold wet summer here that it feels more like a long Winter and Spring. The plants are confused - my apple tree that should be getting ready for its winter sleep has blossoms on it when it really should be losing its leaves.

Lou and I set up the nature table for Autumn. I finally found a branch to hang my seasonal tree and we cut little autumn leaves to put on it. Lou and I are making an Autumn leaf bunting but we haven't finished it yet. That is for another post...:)

Bubba-Craft

Little Loopity Lou has been doing a bit of bubba-craft at play group. We made these little gardens for Easter. We used air drying clay to make the little cups to put the eggs shells in and Lou put the wheat and alfalfa seeds in the egg shells. We've been watching them grow on the window sill at playgroup for the last couple of weeks and we finally got to bring them home.

Now Lou's little garden sits looking beautiful with the other treasures my children have picked up so far this season on our autumn nature table...:)
Cadi from Coffee, Yarn and Nirvana Please! made the beautiful nature table doll. I won the doll off her last year. This is what started my adventure with needle felting nature table dolls.
..... and Katie made the knitted rabbit..;)
