Even the caterpillars wear jumpers in the Blue Mountians


I was at a friend's house the other day and saw this caterpillar on the ghost gum tree. It was like it had a very furry mohair jumper on. I have no idea of what the species is but just imagine what the butterfly might look like!

Don't touch those hairy caterpillars - they sting!

If your daughter's knitting is growing wider [adding stitches] it could be that she is turning the first stitch into two stitches - if she takes the yarn over the needle as she turns to knit the next row it looks like two stitches instead of one. I'll check at the next Guild meeting if you like. [16 Feb]
