Winter Spiral

Through the darkness we shall go

with our lantern all a-glow

Hearts grow warm our way grows bright

As we jounney in the light.

Though its dark and cold this night

We can trust in this small light

If we hold our Lantern true

courage grows our deeds to do.

What a beautiful spiral!

I miss getting to watch the children walk the spiral with the lanterns at playgroup. My two are too big for that now. Miss Moo is away tonight at Winter Festival. Will celebrated with preschool.

Beautiful! We missed the local lantern midwinter thingy down here. I get a small glimpse with yours! I love your needle felted creation down below too. It's excellent I love the way the branch wraps around her body.

that is gorgeous! i would love the details of what you did there!!! I see you got your kids involved which I find a bit of a challenge. It looks so brilliant and creative I am jealous! Is this something you came up with on your own? I just look at these pictures and wish I was there. Fabulous job! I would love to try this is the future...

So nice!! When my children were little they did this on school.
In summer, on the 24ste of juny they made a big fire on a green land and we put flowers and fruit on hads and sing around the fire. It's called St Jansfeest (St Johns celebration) This is a old Celtic tradition.
