Autumn is here. The leaves are slowly changing colour to yellows, reds, oranges and purples - my favourite colours. :)
I love the Mountains at this time of the year.
It's getting cold in the morning and evening. Winter is just around the corner - where did that Summer go? I have just gotten my woolly jumpers out this week and I've been wearing my scarves (there's one on the knitting needles half way through. I'm trying to de-stash and get through my wool this autumn/winter).
I've changed the nature table to Autumn colours of yellows and oranges. Soon it will be full of treasures that the kids pick up on our walks.
I love this view from my kitchen window. Across the road is a pine forest. I've been watching the Black Cockatoos finishing up the last of this season's pine cones on the trees. These pine trees are not native to Australia - in fact they're classed as a weed and one day they will be chopped down. They're slowly regenerating the area - the pine tree needles that drop make the soil too acidic for the native bush to grow underneath. It's a bit sad in a way. Some of these trees look very old. So in the mean time, I'm enjoying the beautiful view that I have out my window.

Oh beautiful post. Yeah that is sad about the trees, if only they could tell their story.
Lovely nature table, so lovely..xx
Yesterday's humidity and last night's temperature didn't feel like summer had left yet!
I notice you've been faving a lot of Noro scarves on Ravelry. But have you finished that vest your son yet? LOL
I loved Autumn in the mountains too! Your nature table is lovely.
Your nature table is so pretty and warm. I think creating Autumn's table is the most fun for the kids -so many treasure to be found.
Anne - how fun it is to see the season unfold in a different part of the world.
Be well, Nicole

How beautiful. I always enjoy imagining the opposite seasons emerging on your side of the earth.

Oh that is a gorgeous view. I have to go upstairs to get any views. We used to have a great viw of the lake but all the trees have grown and now its hard to see. I love your Autumn table. What a great idea!
And Spring hints at it's arrival north of the mid-line....we are pieces of a wonderful whole-

Lovely nature table! Love to think of what a big beautiful world it is---autumn over there, spring over here. Beautiful.
I have planned long time some kind of nature table for us, too. I love yours! We have here lots of pine trees and I really like those a lot!
i dont understand the chop down & kill something to replace it with something else. those pine trees may not be native but they have been there a long time & while Aus native scrub & bush may not grow under them there is enough of it around. beside those trees are homes & a sorce of food for native animals that should be enough in its self.
lov your table :o) one of my maples is just starting to get a bit of a red tinge, love autumn
Such a lovely autumn table and fun to see your autumn colours while spring is just arriving here. :)
I was outside today with the grandbabies... and for the first time this spring we were able to take our socks and shoes off and feel the warming grass on our feet. Spring... And here, today, I stumbled upon your blog and see your lovely autumn table, as your family prepares for colder days ahead. I love how the Internet allows us the globally share the seasons! Your table is warm and inviting. Lovely!
I keep coming back to look at this picture. It’s quite lovely.
I like your autumn table :) We are entering spring as you are entering fall. I like both of these seasons so much. Enjoy!
I do am looking forward to Autumn, it is full of rich, reds and golds, cheers Marie
I love your autumn table. I want to put silks on mine but my toddler pulls it apart all the time. The black cockatoos are my favourite! And those pine trees gave us big red mushrooms with white spots on top just like where the fairys live last autumn. I hope they don't chop them down before the fairys move out!!
